Lobela powers Val de Seine past Metz BC
Gaylord Lobela spearheaded Val de Seine's offence with 22 points, securing an 88-78 victory over Metz BC.
Val de Seine cemented their sixth-place position in Group B, while Metz BC remained twelfth following this regular-season clash.
Despite holding a five-point lead at halftime (49-44), Val de Seine saw Metz BC narrow the gap to three entering the final quarter (65-62). However, a decisive surge in the fourth, which they outscored Metz 23-16, sealed the win for Val de Seine. The team shot an impressive 53% from the field (31/59) and received 25 points from their bench players. Metz BC, despite 46 points from their reserves, couldn't overcome Lobela's performance, although Kevin Cham contributed 15 points and six steals. For Metz, Alan Robert Suarez shone off the bench with 30 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Val de Seine's more consistent effort.
This win keeps Val de Seine firmly in a playoff spot, extending their lead over teams outside the top six.
