Paumier Masterclass Seals Berck Victory
Grismay Paumier orchestrated a hard-fought 81-77 victory for Berck Rang du Fliers over Les Sables d’Olonne, solidifying their mid-table position.
In a regular-season clash with little at stake for either side, Berck managed to find the decisive edge in the closing moments.
Leading by three points at halftime (47-44), Berck extended their advantage to five entering the final quarter (62-57). Les Sables, despite a more productive bench contributing 33 points to Berck's 24, couldn't turn the tide, conceding a 19-20 final period. Berck shot more efficiently overall (30/64 at 47% vs. 30/74 at 41%) and managed turnovers better, though they were outrebounded 42-37.
Paumier shone with a double-double of 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists, a performance complemented by Raijon Travell Kelly's 18 points. For Les Sables, Thomas Klein led the scoring with 15 points, but it wasn't enough to sway the outcome.
This win sees Berck Rang du Fliers cement their 11th place in Group A.
