Flosse's double-double powers Tarbes-Lourdes past Le Havre
Matthias Flosse put on a commanding display, spearheading Tarbes-Lourdes to an 80-68 victory over Le Havre and solidifying their standing in the NM1 Poule A standings.
Despite a first quarter that saw the margin hover around six points, Tarbes-Lourdes established an 11-point lead by halftime (37-48), a momentum they carried into the final period, entering the fourth quarter with a 12-point cushion (50-62).
Tarbes-Lourdes' advantage on the boards (44 to 36) and a superior field goal percentage (41% to 37%) proved decisive, complemented by 25 assists to Le Havre's 18. While Le Havre's bench contributed 36 points, it couldn't overcome Flosse's dominant 24-point, 10-rebound double-double, nor the 14 points off the bench from Thibaud Gottin.
Victor Mopsus added 11 points and 8 assists for the victors. For Le Havre, Kirpin Cedric Bah also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Kevin Richard Bercy chipped in 12 points. However, their struggles from beyond the arc, hitting just 7 of 35 three-pointers, hampered their offensive efforts.
This win sees Tarbes-Lourdes strengthen their hold on fourth place, while Le Havre, despite the loss, maintains their top position in Poule A.
