Burton's double-double powers Orchies past Toulouse
Joseph Burton delivered a commanding double-double performance, notching 14 points and 11 rebounds, to steer Orchies to a crucial 85-71 victory over Toulouse. After establishing a 10-point advantage in the opening quarter, Orchies maintained control, leading by six at halftime (46-40) and holding a five-point cushion entering the final period. Despite Dennis Ona Embo pouring in 28 points for Toulouse, their 35% field goal shooting and a meagre 5 bench points proved insufficient. Orchies, bolstered by 23 points from their reserves and hitting 44% from the field, sealed the win in the closing stages. Gaspard Gessat added 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Yanis Mbuy Kabuaya-Diondo chipped in 12 points and 3 steals off the bench. This win sees Orchies solidify their seventh-place standing in Group A at 13-13, inching closer to a playoff spot.
