Türkiye Dominates Iceland Behind Vural's 23 Points
Türkiye asserted its dominance over Iceland, cruising to an 84-62 victory at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket. Fueled by a potent offensive display, the Turkish squad seized control in the second quarter, unleashing a decisive 13-29 run that built a 14-point halftime lead (34-48).
This advantage ballooned to a commanding 28-point margin entering the final period (48-76), effectively sealing the contest. Türkiye's offensive prowess was highlighted by their exceptional three-point shooting, hitting 13 of 29 attempts (45%), a stark contrast to Iceland's 20% success rate from deep. The Turkish bench also proved instrumental, contributing 42 points compared to Iceland's 25. While Mina Berber anchored the team with 14 points and 8 rebounds, it was Tuana Vural who stole the show off the bench with a game-high 23 points. Despite commendable efforts from Iceland's Rebekka Steingrimsdottir (15 points) and Berglind Hlynsdottir (14 points), they couldn't overcome Türkiye's relentless attack. Türkiye made a significant statement with this commanding performance.
