Türkiye Dominates Italy Behind Ozturk's Masterclass

Arda Ozturk delivered a commanding performance to spearhead Türkiye's emphatic 82-60 victory over Italy at the Arena Antonio Alexe.

In this FIBA U16 EuroBasket clash, Türkiye established an eight-point lead by halftime, leading 35-27, before decisively pulling away in the third quarter with a 27-15 scoring advantage.

Türkiye's dominance continued, extending their lead to 20 points entering the final period and sealing an 82-60 win. They showcased superior shooting efficiency, hitting 51% from the field compared to Italy's 37%, and received a significant boost from their bench, which outscored Italy's reserves 36-18. While Nicholas Conti led Italy with 16 points, Arda Ozturk's double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds anchored Türkiye, complemented by Mehmet Ozturk's 18 points off the bench. Türkiye's superior ball movement, evidenced by 26 assists against just 13 turnovers, proved instrumental.
