Henderson Jr. Masterclass Lifts Siauliai Past Lions
Cedric Henderson Jr. delivered a commanding performance, steering BC Siauliai to a hard-fought 74-71 opening night victory over the London Lions in an EuroCup regular-season clash. Henderson Jr. recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, adding 3 assists for an EVAL of 27, as Siauliai held a nine-point lead at halftime (41-32).
Despite a third quarter where the Lions clawed back, ending the period trailing by just three (57-54), Siauliai found a way to seal it. Siauliai's bench contributed 32 points, including 9 from Efton Reid, proving crucial. Dayvion McKnight also chipped in with 11 points and 7 assists, while the Lions struggled, shooting just 38% from the field overall. Joel Scott led the Lions with 17 points, but their 18% three-point shooting hampered their ability to close the gap. Siauliai thus gets their campaign off to a positive start, while the London Lions begin with a loss despite outrebounding their opponents 35-33.
This victory gives Siauliai early momentum in the regular season standings.
