Chambers Leads Caen's Stunning Comeback Over Antibes
Siyani Chambers orchestrated a stunning second-half comeback, steering Caen to a 93-86 victory over Antibes at the Azur Arena.
Antibes held a commanding 13-point lead at halftime, 41-28, and still led by three entering the final frame, 69-66.
However, Caen's bench, which outscored Antibes' reserves 52-38, ignited a decisive surge. Despite Antibes shooting 39% from three-point range, they were ultimately undone by Caen's rebounding advantage (51-40) and Chambers' masterful playmaking, as he finished with 20 points and 9 assists.
Louis Cassier chipped in 15 points off the bench for Caen, while Antibes saw 14 points from Samir Gbetkom Bikantchou and 8 assists from Matthieu Gauzin. Darel Poirier's double-double of 8 points and 10 rebounds also proved crucial for the visitors.
The win bolsters Caen's standing, while Antibes faces increased pressure in the playoff race.
