Spurs Clinch Series, Eliminate Thunder in Game 7 Thriller
The San Antonio Spurs have punched their ticket to the next round, outlasting the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-103 in a decisive Game 7.
After holding a slim three-point lead at halftime (53-56) and entering the final frame with the same margin (77-80), the Spurs found another gear to secure the victory. Despite a valiant effort from Oklahoma City, where Shai Gilgeous-Alexander poured in 35 points and Cason Wallace contributed 17, San Antonio's consistent offensive output proved too much.
Victor Wembanyama paced the Spurs with 22 points, complemented by Julian Champagnie's 20-point effort. San Antonio's sharp three-point shooting, hitting 17-of-40 (43%), proved a key differentiator against the Thunder's 34% clip from deep. While OKC's bench provided a significant spark with 37 points, highlighted by Jaylin Williams' double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, the Spurs' collective performance ultimately prevailed.
With this pivotal win, the San Antonio Spurs clinch the series 4-3 and advance to the next stage of the playoffs.
