Stephon Castle poured in 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, spearheading the San Antonio Spurs' 139-109 dismantling of the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center, clinching their best-of-7 semifinal series 4-2.
In a decisive Game 6, the Spurs seized control by halftime, holding a 74-61 lead. Their advantage ballooned further in the third quarter, a 36-23 run extending their lead to an insurmountable 26 points entering the final frame (110-84).
San Antonio's offensive efficiency was on full display, shooting 56% from the field (49/88) and connecting on 18 threes at a 47% clip. While Minnesota's bench provided a significant spark, contributing 59 points led by Naz Reid's 18 and Terrence Shannon Jr.'s 21, it wasn't enough to overcome the Spurs' sustained offensive pressure.
De'Aaron Fox chipped in 21 points and 9 assists, complemented by Julian Champagnie's 18 points and 2 steals. The Spurs also controlled the glass, outrebounding Minnesota 60-29, and stifled the Timberwolves' attack with 13 blocks.
With this victory, the San Antonio Spurs advance to the next round of the playoffs.
