Olympiacos Cruise Past Fenerbahce
Olympiacos' bench erupted for 40 points, spearheading a commanding 79-61 win over Fenerbahce at the Telekom Center.
In this regular-season clash, the Reds established control early, building an 18-12 lead in the first quarter and extending it to nine points by halftime (33-24).
Despite spirited efforts from Talen Horton-Tucker, who posted 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Tarik Biberovic with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Fenerbahce, Olympiacos maintained their advantage, entering the final period with a decisive 15-point cushion (56-41).
The home side's dominance on the boards, outrebounding Fenerbahce 43-34, and superior field goal shooting (47% to 34%) proved too much for the visitors. Alec Peters was instrumental off the bench with 17 points, while Sasha Vezenkov added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Nikola Milutinov anchored the defence with a game-high 13 rebounds. Fenerbahce, despite forcing 9 turnovers and recording 5 steals, struggled to find consistent offensive rhythm.
The victory solidifies Olympiacos' position as they continue their regular-season campaign.
