Le Mans Dominates Limoges in Third Quarter Surge
Le Mans delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating Limoges 101-84 and solidifying their fifth-place standing in the Betclic Elite.
Though Limoges held a four-point lead at the break (41-45), the game's complexion shifted dramatically. Le Mans unleashed a blistering 36-11 run in the third quarter, building an insurmountable 21-point advantage (77-56) entering the final period.
This turnaround was fuelled by exceptional three-point shooting, hitting 18 of 36 attempts (50%), and a potent bench contributing 44 points, significantly outproducing Limoges' reserves. David DiLeo and Johnny Berhanemeskel spearheaded the scoring with 19 points apiece, complemented by TaShawn Thomas's 13 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.
For Limoges, despite strong showings from Frank Mason III (14 points, 8 assists) and Hugo Invernizzi (9 points, 6 assists), the inability to counter Le Mans' second-half onslaught proved decisive.
The victory strengthens Le Mans' grip on a top-five spot, while Limoges remains in 13th place.
