Boulazac Stuns Monaco on Home Court
Essome Miyem spearheaded Boulazac to a stunning 92-74 upset victory over Betclic Elite leaders Monaco at Le Palio. The centre, who recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, was the catalyst for an impressive team effort, as the bench contributed 32 points. Boulazac seized control by halftime, leading 49-38, and extended their advantage to 17 points (67-50) entering the final quarter. The dominance held, culminating in an 18-point final margin. Despite Kyllian Michee's 21 points, Monaco struggled to find rhythm, surrendering 20 assists to Boulazac's 12. Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot also provided significant offensive punch with 16 points, while Ousman Krubally added another valuable double-double off the bench (13 pts, 10 rebs). The home defence proved particularly effective, limiting Monaco to just 23% from three-point range.
