Loon Plage rallies past SCABB behind Saumont
Loon Plage staged a significant road comeback, overcoming SCABB 81-73 to seize second place in Group A. After falling behind by 12 points in the opening quarter, SCABB managed to rally and hold a slim 41-37 lead at halftime, extending that advantage to 56-55 entering the final period. However, a potent bench contribution, highlighted by Seraphin Saumont's 19 points and 8 rebounds, ignited Loon Plage's surge. Brian Dawson led all scorers with 24 points, complemented by Vincent Fauche's 10 points and 7 assists off the bench. Despite strong showings from SCABB's Théo Bouteille (12 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists) and Moustapha Diop (17 points), the home side faltered, particularly at the free-throw line where they shot just 44%. Loon Plage, which shot an efficient 77% from the stripe and outrebounded SCABB 42-38, secured their third win against one loss, positioning them well in the early standings.
