Knicks complete stunning comeback to take 3-1 lead
In a stunning turnaround at Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks snatched a 107-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. The Spurs appeared to be in complete control, holding a 27-point halftime advantage (49-76) that extended to 15 points entering the fourth quarter (75-90). However, a ferocious New York surge, fuelled by 47% three-point shooting (15/32), completely shifted the momentum. The Spurs, despite 28 points from their bench and 10 steals, could not contain the Knicks' onslaught. Jalen Brunson, with 36 points and 7 assists, and OG Anunoby, who finished with 33 points, spearheaded the charge, proving instrumental against Victor Wembanyama's 24-point, 13-rebound double-double. Karl-Anthony Towns also chipped in with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double. The Knicks now lead the NBA Finals series 3-1, putting them within touching distance of the championship.
