France Dominates Turkey in U20 EuroBasket Clash

France asserted its authority at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, dismantling Turkey 69-44 behind a stifling defensive effort and efficient offensive execution.

The French built a commanding 18-point lead by halftime (17-35), a cushion they maintained throughout the contest.

Despite Turkey narrowing the gap to 10 points entering the final period (37-47), France responded emphatically, outscoring their opponents 22-7 in the closing stages to seal the decisive win.

This dominance was underscored by a significant rebounding advantage (59-29) and potent bench production, as France’s reserves poured in 33 points compared to Turkey's 19.

Sarah Cisse led the charge with a double-double (12 points, 13 rebounds), ably supported by Ainhoa Risacher's 13 points and two blocks, and Stella Colas's seven points, six rebounds, and two blocks, while Turkey struggled immensely from the field, shooting just 16%.

This resounding victory serves as a powerful statement from France in the tournament.
