Belgium Dominates Slovenia Behind Strong Bench Play

Belgium asserted control against Slovenia, clinching a 60-45 victory at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket. The Belgians built their win on stout defence and offensive efficiency, allowing their opponents just 14-of-52 shooting (27%). Although holding an 11-point lead at halftime (26-15), Slovenia saw their deficit shrink to nine entering the final period (43-34). However, a second-half surge, highlighted by a decisive 17-4 run in the second quarter, allowed Belgium to pull away. The Belgian bench provided a significant advantage, contributing 26 points to Slovenia's meagre eight, a key factor in the outcome. Kyra Bruyndoncx starred with a double-double, posting 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Noor Devos chipped in 11 points, aiding Belgium's 33-26 rebounding advantage.
