Belaga's Triple-Double Powers Israel Dominance

Rany Belaga orchestrated an offensive masterclass with a resounding triple-double, steering Israel to a commanding 96-74 victory over Latvia at Arena Stožice II.

In this FIBA U20 EuroBasket clash, Israel seized control early, building a decisive 24-point lead by halftime (53-29) after a blistering 26-9 second quarter.

Latvia could never mount a serious comeback, with Israel entering the final period holding a comfortable 75-55 advantage. Israel's shooting efficiency, hitting 55% from the field compared to Latvia's 39%, proved critical, as did their significant 45-15 bench scoring advantage.

Despite strong performances from Arturs Ozols, who posted a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds, and Martins Kilups' 19 points, Latvia succumbed to Israel's collective might.
