Serbia Dominates Lithuania at U20 EuroBasket
Serbia asserted their dominance at Arena Stožice, securing a commanding 79-57 victory over Lithuania in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket.
The Serbians built a significant lead early, extending it to 29 points by halftime (21-50) after a decisive second quarter where they outscored Lithuania 32-9.
Despite Lithuania's bench contributing 39 points, their overall shooting struggles, hitting just 27% from the field (20/73) and a dismal 13% from three-point range (5/40), proved insurmountable.
Serbia, who outrebounded Lithuania 44-33, were led by Uros Suput's 11 points and two blocks off the bench, complemented by Marko Tofoski's 10 points and Nikola Dzepina's 12 points. For Lithuania, Mantas Juzenas topped the scoring with 13 points and six rebounds, with Jokubas Rudaitis adding 12 points and two steals from the bench.
This emphatic win serves as a strong statement from Serbia in the ongoing tournament.
