Padjen Masterclass Fuels Slovenia's Dominant Win

Mark Padjen orchestrated a masterclass performance to propel Slovenia to a resounding 77-54 victory over Czechia at Arena Stožice.

Slovenia seized control early, building an 11-point lead in the first quarter and maintaining a commanding 16-point advantage by halftime (41-25).

Their dominance extended into the final frame, entering the fourth quarter with a 25-point cushion that was never seriously threatened. While Czechia's bench outscored Slovenia's slightly (37-34), Slovenia's efficiency was the difference, hitting 23 of 54 field goals (43%) compared to just 15 of 69 for their opponents (22%). Slovenia's 18 assists to Czechia's 10 highlighted their superior ball movement, and 11 steals stifled the opposition's offence.

Padjen, coming off the bench, was the catalyst with 8 assists and 5 steals alongside his 11 points, while Lovro Bolhar added a game-high 18 points to seal the win. For Czechia, Jakub Soldan battled for 9 points and 7 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum.
