Serbia Dominates Romania in Blowout

Serbia asserted their dominance with a commanding 90-44 victory over Romania at the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket.

The Serbian side seized control early, establishing a commanding 34-point lead by halftime (51-17) and never looking back.

A decisive 28-9 second-quarter run blew the game open, extending Serbia's advantage to an insurmountable 51 points entering the final frame (76-25). Their suffocating defence forced 37 Romanian turnovers and generated 29 steals, fuelling their transition game. The Serbian bench proved instrumental, pouring in 49 points compared to Romania's 8. Despite Bianca-Ioana Stan recording a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Romania, she couldn't stem the tide. Ana Gavrilov led Serbia with 13 points, while Mina Paunovic added 11 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, as Serbia shot 46% from the field.

This emphatic win serves as a powerful statement from Serbia in the tournament.
