Shorts Masterclass Powers Valencia Past Paris
Tj Shorts orchestrated a masterful offensive performance, steering Valencia to a commanding 104-93 road win over Paris at the Adidas Arena.
This regular-season clash saw Valencia assert their dominance, building on a slim 57-54 halftime lead to enter the fourth quarter ahead 83-70. The decisive swing occurred in the third quarter, which Valencia outscored Paris 26-16, extending their advantage to an insurmountable margin. Despite Paris’s bench erupting for 61 points, highlighted by Jared Rhoden’s 20-point effort, Valencia’s consistent scoring proved too much.
Shorts was the catalyst, finishing with 25 points and 9 assists, complemented by Armoni Brooks’s explosive 22-point, 7-rebound contribution off the bench. Valencia’s superior rebounding, outrebounding Paris 40-33, and a slight edge in turnovers (9 vs. 10) were crucial factors. Neal Sako chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds for the victors.
The victory keeps Valencia on track in the regular season standings, while Paris faces a need to regroup after this home defeat.
