Ekiyor's double-double not enough as Le Mans wins
Eddie Ekiyor delivered a stellar 25-point, 10-rebound double-double, yet it wasn't enough to prevent Le Mans from securing an 88-85 road win at the Palais des Sports Pierre Ratte. With Saint-Quentin holding a slim one-point lead (61-60) entering the final period, Le Mans mounted a comeback, fueled by a decisive 27-19 third quarter that swung the momentum. Despite struggling from deep at just 20% (5/25 3P), Saint-Quentin received significant contributions from Neftali Difuidi, who poured in 24 points off the bench, and Nick Johnson's 18 points. Le Mans, however, who led by seven at halftime (34-41), ultimately prevailed through a more efficient 42% field goal shooting and a strong 82% free-throw performance. Trevor Hudgins orchestrated the Le Mans offense with 21 points and nine assists, complemented by David DiLeo's 17 points. This crucial victory elevates Le Mans into sole possession of fifth place, while Saint-Quentin remains mired in 14th, their playoff hopes dimming.
