Playoffs
Format & rules
The Betclic Elite (formerly Pro A) runs 18 clubs over a 34-game regular season from October to June. The top eight contest the playoffs (best-of-three quarters, best-of-five semifinals and final). The last-placed club is relegated directly to Pro B (Élite 2); the 17th plays a relegation game. Upper table finishers qualify for European competitions (EuroLeague, EuroCup, Basketball Champions League). Points (2 for a win, 1 for a loss) determine the standings; point differential breaks ties.
