Poitiers Crowned Champions in Overtime Thriller
Poitiers clinched the Pro B championship following a dramatic overtime victory, defeating Saint-Quentin 100-96 to seal the quarter-final series 2-0. The home side had to dig deep, trailing by eight points at halftime (47-55) and still four points down entering the final period (67-71). However, a stirring comeback in the fourth quarter, fuelled by a significant rebounding advantage (46-41) and a potent bench that outscored Saint-Quentin's 58-21, forced the extra period. Despite Nick Johnson's stellar 29-point, 10-assist double-double for Saint-Quentin, alongside Neftali Difuidi's 20 points, Poitiers found the decisive edge. Marcus Hammond spearheaded the attack with 21 points, while Jordan Ratton provided a crucial spark off the bench with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Narcisse Ngoy also made his presence felt inside, contributing 8 points and 2 blocks. This hard-fought win culminates Poitiers' season with a playoff title.
