Greenwood's 29 points spark HTV victory
Moses Greenwood exploded for 29 points, coming off the bench to ignite Hyères-Toulon's hard-fought 103-97 victory over La Rochelle. The hosts built a commanding 54-40 halftime lead, fuelled by a decisive 33-21 second quarter. Although La Rochelle rallied, Hyères-Toulon maintained a 77-65 advantage entering the final frame, ultimately sealing the win despite a late La Rochelle surge. Hyères-Toulon's bench depth proved critical, outscoring La Rochelle's reserves 69-20, a significant factor in a game where both teams shot efficiently (51% to 50% from the field). Nateo Gabriel des Bordes added 20 points, also from the bench, while Moustafa Haidara chipped in with 11 points and 9 rebounds. For La Rochelle, Sasha Derradji dished out 8 assists, and Seydou Ndiaye and Jimmy Boeheim scored 15 and 16 points respectively, but their efforts fell short. The win opens the regular season with Hyères-Toulon moving to 1-0.
