Orléans clinches OT thriller against Saint-Chamond
Orléans snatched a crucial overtime victory, outscoring Saint-Chamond-Andrezieux 14-6 in the extra period to secure a 96-88 win. The home side, trailing by seven at halftime (38-45) and still down by five entering the fourth (55-60), demonstrated remarkable resilience.
Despite shooting just 41% from the field (29/71), Orléans found offensive firepower, particularly from their bench which contributed 36 points compared to Saint-Chamond's 14. Siriman Kanouté, coming off the bench, was instrumental with 23 points and 8 assists, while Nathan Kuta added 23 points and 2 blocks, stepping up when it mattered most.
Saint-Chamond, who had led for large stretches and boasted superior shooting splits (48% FG, 43% 3P), saw their 25 assists and 39 rebounds undermined by 22 turnovers and a late-game collapse.
Joshua Uduje led the visitors with 23 points and 7 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to hold off Orléans' surge. This win solidifies Orléans' third-place standing in the Leaders Cup, positioning them favourably for the remainder of the regular season.
