Croft Orchestrates Rouen's Upset Over Blois
Trayvon Croft orchestrated a commanding performance, steering Rouen to a crucial 84-67 victory over Blois at the Kindarena.
In a regular-season clash where Rouen (15W-20L) solidified their 16th-place standing against a playoff-bound Blois (21W-14L), the American guard dished out 10 assists, adding 19 points for an EVAL of 27. His playmaking was instrumental as Rouen built a significant early lead, establishing a 13-point advantage in the first quarter and holding a 44-38 lead at halftime.
Rouen's control tightened in the second half, entering the final period with an imposing 72-54 lead. This cushion, bolstered by a near-perfect 95% free-throw shooting (19/20) and an active defence that forced 15 turnovers and recorded 12 steals, allowed them to dictate the tempo. Rouen's bench also provided substantial support, contributing 32 points compared to Blois's 24.
Arthur Bouba complemented Croft's efforts with 18 points and 8 rebounds, while Mohamed Choua chipped in 10 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks. For Blois, Timothé Vergiat paced the team with 17 points, but the visitors struggled to overcome 20 turnovers and zero blocked shots.
The win provides Rouen with a positive end to the regular season, although they fall short of playoff qualification.
