About Pro B
Pro B (officially Élite 2 since 2024) is the second tier of French professional basketball, run by the LNB. Eighteen clubs battle across a 34-game regular season; the top two earn direct promotion to the Betclic Elite, while the 3rd–6th placed sides play promotion playoffs for a third spot. The promotion race dominates the end of the season, with every top-six side targeting a step up to the Betclic Elite. Notable clubs include Stade Rochelais, Antibes Sharks, Saint-Quentin, Rouen and SLUC Nancy. Pro B serves as a breeding ground for French-trained talent and a springboard for young prospects.
