Bobi Klintman delivered a commanding performance, registering a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds to propel Sweden to an 87-76 victory over Czechia in FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Sweden seized control early, building an 18-point advantage in the first quarter and maintaining a significant lead at halftime, up 61-35.
Despite a second-half push from Czechia, Sweden managed its substantial lead, entering the final quarter ahead 79-59.
Czechia showed resilience, chipping away at the deficit late, but the early hole proved too deep. The Swedish squad, which received 29 points from its bench, also saw Viktor Gaddefors chip in 14 points and three steals, while Simon Birgander added 11 rebounds and four assists. For Czechia, Ondrej Sehnal led the charge with 20 points and seven assists, supported by Martin Peterka's 13 points and eight rebounds.
The win serves as a statement performance for Sweden in the tournament.
