Toremis Leads Türkiye Past Croatia

Zeynep Toremis exploded for 24 points, powering Türkiye to a hard-fought 85-80 win over Croatia at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket.

The game remained tight throughout, with Türkiye clinging to a slim one-point lead at halftime (42-41) before extending their advantage to 66-57 entering the final period.

While Croatia battled back with a significant rebounding edge (42-34) and nine steals, Türkiye's bench depth proved decisive. Mina Berber's 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench were instrumental, complemented by Feryal Atli's 16 points. Türkiye's reserves outscored Croatia's by a commanding 41-10 margin.

Despite Petra Bozan's double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, alongside Lea Vukic's 19 points for Croatia, Türkiye managed to hold on in the closing moments.

This victory serves as a strong offensive statement for Türkiye early in the tournament, signalling their intent.
