Slovenia Dominates Romania at FIBA U20 EuroBasket

Slovenia delivered a commanding performance, overwhelming Romania 95-51 at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket. From the outset, the Slovenians seized control, establishing a decisive 30-14 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. By halftime, the advantage had ballooned to a commanding 56-26, signalling complete dominance. This trend continued as Slovenia entered the final period with an insurmountable 75-36 lead. The Slovenian bench proved instrumental, contributing a staggering 46 points compared to Romania's 18, as the team shot a blistering 50% (33/66) from the field and outrebounded their opponents 40-27. Mark Padjen led the charge with 17 points and 7 assists, complemented effectively by Lovro Lapajne's 14 points off the bench. For Romania, Codrut Dinu fought hard with 18 points, but the team struggled offensively, shooting just 31% overall. This decisive victory sends a clear statement from Slovenia in the tournament.
