Italy Dominates Cameroon at FIBA U17 World Cup

Italy asserted their authority at the FIBA U17 World Cup, overpowering Cameroon 93-74 in a display of offensive efficiency and defensive tenacity.

Leading by six points at halftime (42-36), Italy blew the game open with a dominant 27-12 third quarter, entering the final period with a commanding 21-point advantage (69-48).

The Italians shot an impressive 54% from the field (35/65) and received a massive boost from their bench, which outscored Cameroon's reserves 51-17. Nicolo Ronci led the charge with 18 points and five steals, complemented by Cristian Malano's 20 points off the bench. Despite Brice Pounouko's double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Jason Essoua's 13 points, Cameroon struggled, committing 25 turnovers that Italy converted into 20 steals.

This decisive win serves as a significant statement performance for Italy as they advance in the tournament.
